Whitby Winter Festival
From 26 November 2021

Preston Park Magical Victorian Christmas
27 November – 19 December 2021
You can visit Preston Park’s Christmas event every weekend from the end of November. You will be able to listen to festive music in the twinkly cobbled streets, meet real life reindeer and take part in festive crafts. Robin Hoods Bay Victorian Christmas Weekend: Festive Fun, Past & Present
3 – 5 December 2021
The Victorian weekend is an annual event held in Robin Hoods Bay celebrating festive fun, past and present. The event includes ghost walks, crafts and refreshments as well as the Christmas tree festival.

Narnia at Castle Howard
13 November 2021 – 3 January 2022
Castle Howard is transformed for the Christmas season with a 25 foot Christmas tree with 3000 baubles in the Great Hall as well as log fires lit, light installations and soundscapes around the grounds. There is also a gift shop and cafe to warm up and get some festive treats. Castle Howard also runs an audience with Father Christmas which is subject to availability. RHS Harlow Carr – Glow 2021 – North Yorkshire
18 November – 29 December 2021
In less than an hour’s drive from Goulton Beck you can visit RHS Garden Harlow Carr which during the Glow event is lit up with a spectacular light display trail. After walking around the gardens you can warm up with a hot drink and indulge in a tasty treat at the on-site Betty’s Tea House.

York Christmas Festival
18 November – 23 December 2021
There is always lots going on in York over the festive season, with the annual Christmas market selling crafts, food and mulled wine there is plenty for everyone. You can even grab a festive drink around a firepit in Thor’s tipi bar. York is great for a day trip from the park and can be reached by car in less than an hour. Festive Afternoon tea
1-23 December 2021
If you are looking for the perfect celebratory adult festive treat, Rockliffe Hall will be serving Festive Afternoon Tea in their orangery this December with mulled wine, seasonal savouries and festive treats with an option to add a bit of sparkle with champagne. Darlington Hippodrome pantomime – Cinderella
10 December – 31 December 2021
Featuring Faye Tozer from the band Steps as the fairy godmother, and Patrick Monahan as Buttons, this is a family friendly favourite show at one of the North East’s oldest theatres. You can find out more on the website here.
Leaving the park isn’t the only way to feel festive in the run up to Christmas. Switch on the feature fireplace in your lodge, put up some decorations and spend some quality time with your loved ones, snuggle on the sofa watching your favourite Christmas movies or bake some festive treats in your high end kitchen.
